Suggested average time commitments on the board 

  • President: 8 to 12 hours a month (about 2-3 hours a week)
  • Executive Board (President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary) 4-6 hours a month (1-2 hours a week) 
  • Board member at large 3-4 hours a month 

These times include meetings (One 2-hr monthly board meeting, committee meetings if applicable), answering and acting on emails received, and any other networking required to advance SFBTA's goals. 

Who is Eligible to Be On the Board?

There are 6 vacancies for the 2026 SFBTA Board of Directors. Voting for these positions will be done on November 7th, at the Annual Member Meeting. Any current member of the SFBTA nominated by self or another current member
