Online​​Nominations Closed

Thank you for your interest in nominations to the SFBTA Board. Due to proximity to the annual member's meeting, the ONLINE nomination process for terms starting in 2026 is now closed per the following bylaw regulation: Article 4, Point 4, Section 1: “In addition to nominations made from the floor at the members meeting, nominations may be made by submitting a brief bio and/or statement of interest to the SFBTA President. The information will additionally be posted on the SFBTA website up to five business days prior to the conference.” If you are interested in nominating yourself or someone else (with their consent), you are welcome to make a nomination FROM THE FLOOR at the members meeting to be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at the Chelsea Hotel Ballroom, Toronto. Suggested average time commitments on the board 

  • President: 8 to 12 hours a month (about 2-3 hours a week)
  • Executive Board (President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary) 4-6 hours a month (1-2 hours a week) 
  • Board member at large 3-4 hours a month 

These times include meetings (One 2-hr monthly board meeting, committee meetings if applicable), answering and acting on emails received, and any other networking required to advance SFBTA's goals. 

Who is Eligible to be on the Board?

Any current member of the SFBTA nominated by self or by another current member is eligible. There are 6 vacancies for the 2026-2028 term on the SFBTA Board of Directors. Voting for these positions will be done on November 8th, at the Annual Members' Meeting.

There are 6 open seats on the SFBTA Board for 2026. Apart from these nominations that have been received online, there will be an opportunity for you to nominate yourself while IN-PERSON at the Annual Members' Meeting on Saturday, November 8, 2025. While you are IN-PERSON at the member's meeting, you may also nominate someone else who may not be at the meeting in person, but whose consent you have received in writing. For nominations from the floor, a brief 2 minute opportunity will be provided to share the nominee's 1. Background, 2. Experience with the SF approach 3. Experience with SFBTA and/or interest in serving on the board.
